27.000 Visitors and 143 thrilled Riders

The award ceremony was the end of the “1.JEVER SUP World Cup on Sunday. 27.000 spectators have been cheering for 143 riders during the last three days and had a first hand experience of the new trend sport SUP. Starter from more than eight different countries brought international flair into the palm trees of the HafenCity, Hamburg.
Robby Naish, who awarded the winners together with the American Consul General and Patron Karen. E. Johnson, CEO of the Brewery JEVER Wolfgang Speth, Privy Council Dr. Manfred Jäger and host Matthias Neumann from ACT AGENCY, was impressed: „Great organisation, amazing location and awesome spectators. An important event for SUP as a sport. “
Winner Ekolu Kalama liked the atmosphere of the HafenCity so much, that he used the award ceremony to thank the visitors: “This would not have been possible without you! You carried us forward! Thanks a lot for that awesome race!”
Presenter Matthias Neumann was able to announce great news: JEVER SUP World Cup will take place again next year. The date will be in the end of August 2010.
